I'm avoiding the news. I know it's bad. It doesn't help to know. At least Obama's administration stopped the pipeline at Standing Rock.
And then there's this:
And then there's this:
Today, like every other day,
we wake up empty
and frightened.
Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading.
Take down a lute.
we wake up empty
and frightened.
Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading.
Take down a lute.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and
kiss the ground.
kiss the ground.
~ Rumi
Dearest hearts. May we all be well. May we be free from suffering.

This trip sounds positively restorative, however "arduous" as far as meditating. It sounds heavenly to get away from this godforsaken country, for sure.
Where is the Black Lives Matter protest picture taken?
I so admire you for taking this journey. You are a light in this world.
Yes, beauty and love. What are we complaining about again?
I always bring a sleeping bag made from a sheet of very thin cotton. Can be used for everything. Last time I used it to bring back fresh olives from Sicily.
Elizabeth-That march was in Seattle.
I'm excited for you and your journey and hope you share with us when you can. The no food after noon sounds rough, but I could use a diet program like that!
Thank you for the Rumi quote, it is the balm I needed today.
So excited about your trip!
