Today I'll write a new poem on my new computer. Then I'll effing BACK IT UP. I surveyed the perimeter of my house looking for other ways for thieves to enter. All windows locked, doors double locked. Some day I'm living in the country and I'll never lock my doors or my car. And I'll never mow the lawn neither. A tree will grow in the living room and vines will hang in the kitchen. We'll eat lunch with the raccoons and the deer will lend us a hand in the garden.

That's it for now.

When Mr. Moon and I were leaving for Apalachicola I asked him, "Should I lock the kitchen door?" Meanwhile, the back doors onto the porch and outside were wide open for the dogs. He just looked at me and said, "Why would you do that?"
We don't even know where our keys are. It's amazing we've never been broken into. Or...stepped into.
I am so sorry for the invasion of your home because that is the worst thing. Not the taking of your things, but that taking of your peace.
Yes. Oh. Back up. I don't. I swear I will.

Back it up. It's my new religion.

I wonder if raccoons got your computer? They are crafty fellows. We had one under our shed and it got into the attic and had quite a party. One of our cats got into a very ugly fight with the raccoon and got scratched-- a lot.

Raccoons wear those mask so they are hard to identify at the line up.

Glad you are safe. It is terrible to have a burglary but it is worse to have a robbery.
